A to Z Challenge |
King – a Sovereign, a ruler.
The one who has the authority over a kingdom.
The Bible clearly points to
Jesus as the king of heaven and earth. In ‘J’, I propose that what we do with Jesus can make all the
difference in the world in our lives.
Jesus answered, “My
kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My
servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but
as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.” Therefore Pilate said to Him, “So
You are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I am a king.
For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify
to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” Pilate *said to
Him, “What is truth?” John 18:36-38 (NASB)
I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to
all things, and of Christ Jesus, who testified the good confession before
Pontius Pilate, that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until
the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which He will bring about at the proper
time—He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man
has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.
This song, written by Jeremy
Camp, is called “King Jesus.” Enjoy.
Here are two additional ‘K’ websites to help you to know and
keep believing in Jesus, the King of Kings.
That was definitely a big way to cover K! This challenge is so much fun, everyone has something different to say :)
