Five Minute Friday - Good Morning, Lord.

This weeks Prompt at Five-minute Friday is Connect.

Good morning, Lord.  Thank you for this day.  Thank you for granting me another day to walk in this world with You and to be a conduit of Your love here to my family and the world around me.
 

Lord, I am not so good at doing that; please help me.  Help me to remember that I am here for You and to fulfill Your purposes for me.  Lord, I know You love me.  I know You want me to share Your love.  Help me to do that, to be all You want me to be so that I can more fully experience Your love and presence.  

Oh Lord how much I want to connect with those around me in a way that will bless them and draw them to You.  How much I want for those I love and meet to experience the joy of knowing and being with You in Your family.  

Lord I fail.  I get angry.  I get impatient.  I get so very selfish.  I get in my own way.  

Oh Holy Spirit of God, help me to get out of my way.  Help me to hear You and to listen.  Prompt me to align my will and my desires and my actions with Yours.  Help me to love as You love and to connect the way You would have me connect.  Help me to delight in You and in others and to walk in Your pleasure.

In the precious name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I pray.
